UK Innovator visa is a UK work visa category usually more experienced business people looking to set up a business in the UK and they have at least £50000 in investment funds. Applicants must have an innovative, viable and scalable business idea that is supported by an endorsing body.

The Innovator visa category has replaced the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa category which has been closed for initial applications as of 29 March 2019. Applicants will be able to apply for an Innovator visa relying on funds for investment of £50,000 instead of £200,000 which was a requirement for the Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa category.

A person who has received an endorsement letter from the relevant endorsement body approving his/her business idea to be innovative, viable and scalable can apply for Innovator visa entry clearance from outside the UK by meeting all the relevant requirements as set out in Appendix W to the Immigration Rules.

If your application for entry clearance for the innovator is successful, you will be granted leave to enter for a period of 3 years. Upon completion of 3 years of residence in the UK as an innovator, you become eligible to apply for ILR.
